Rotary District Conference 07-Feb-2010

Group Study Exchange (GSE)
.... a journey that was outstanding with lots of pleasure, connects and interests. I owe big time for this experience i got thru Rotary and supreme thanks to Dr. Dipak Kulkarni, Dr. Deepak Purohit, Dr. Girish Gune and the entire RID 3131 for selecting me as a team member for the Outgoing team of 2009-2010 to RID 7040 to Canada & United States

I must thank Harsh Aparanji from Honeywell for granting me this leave to explore the GSE programme and helping me navigate thru the same.

Today - 7th Feb 2010 is the day when our team makes its final presentation at the Rotary District conference INDRADHANU in Khandala, Maharashtra.

The must awaited platform to see the entire rotary family and present our experiences and take-away from the programme. Seeing the Team (Usha Poonawala (Team Leader), Jyoti, Kiran, Pratik) after three months hibernation was indeed a treat, sharing those old time jokes and recollecting people, our host families, our district coordinators was simply missed for a while.
After a long awaited time-slot and delayed programme schedule , we(three teams) all were at the center stage.
  • GSE Outgoing Team 2008-2009 ( Team led by none other than Dr. Girish Gune)
  • GSE Incoming Team 2009-2010 ( from Canada & US - RID 7040)
  • GSE Outgoing Team 2009-2010 ( That's my team!! :) )
It was an wonderful experience to meet the Incoming team led by Anna with team members Tom, Jess, Lianne, Marie-Claude, seeing them so comfortable with people around was amazing. The team really has made a mark the lives of the individual host families and which is what i could see from the way they interacted and said good byes while moving to new host families.

I wish them a safe stay and an experience which they would cherish all there lives.

God Bless you with Wisdom... the World needs it !
